On what felt like one of the hottest days of the summer, we met with Kelly, Jake and Cooper at the State Arboretum of Virginia for their engagement photos. We were lucky enough to meet these beauties a few months before at a bridal show hosted by Magnolia Wedding Collective. Talking with them on that first meeting had me so excited to get to know them more!
On a beautiful, yet hot and humid afternoon in August, the lovely couple and their precious pup Cooper arrived looking absoultely gorgeous! Kelly was a total beauty in her witte dress with her glamourous curls. Jake looked so sharp from head to toe, and Cooper was adorable wtih his bowtie and floppy ears! This family definitely knows how to show up for a photo shoot.
The sun spent most of our session hidden behind the clouds, and I wondered often if this would be the moment we were all going to get poured on! Summertime is funny like that. At the very end of our session, as we headed to one of my favorite little spots in the arboretum, the clouds broke apart and showed us the most beautiful, firey sunset! The way the gold splashed across the field and accented the future husband and wife melted me and reminded me why I do what I do.
Their wedding next year at West Oaks Farm Market is going to be really special, I can feel it! We can't wait to capture all the fun and beauty <3
